Staying fit doesn’t have to mean hitting the gym. With the right exercises, you can get a full-body workout at home using just your body weight or simple equipment like resistance bands. These routines are designed to keep things effective, targeting every major muscle group while saving you time.
Here’s how to do it:
Warm-Up (5-10 minutes)
Start with a light warm-up to get your blood flowing and prevent injury. Try:
Jumping jacks (2 minutes)
High knees (1 minute)
Arm circles and leg swings (2 minutes)
The Full-Body Workout (30-60 minutes)
Focus on exercises that target different muscle groups. Perform each for 40 seconds, rest for 20 seconds, and repeat 3-4 rounds:
Push-Ups: Great for chest, shoulders, and triceps. They can go from very easy to really hard and it only depends on you! Modify by doing them on your knees if needed.
Bodyweight Squats: Build strength in your legs and glutes. Keep your chest up and back straight. This helps you with technique and also make you focus on legs. You SHOULD NOT SKIP LEG DAY!
Plank Holds: Strengthen your core and improve stability. Start with 20-30 seconds and build up over time. For harder exersice you can start skiping arm and touchning shoulder or keep your arm straight above your head.
Lunges: Another perfect exercise for your legs. Main parts to target are quads, hamstrings, and glutes. Also help you build balance over time!
Superman Holds: As a last we have some core exercise. Core is important due to connections with most parts of your body. So do not skip this part or you will have to do it later! It will strenghten your lower back by lying face down, lifting your arms and legs off the ground, and holding for 5 seconds.
Cool Down (5-10 minutes)
End with stretching to help your muscles recover:
Hamstring stretches
Child’s pose for your back
Shoulder stretchech
